Calling all book lovers!

CAPCA is hosting its third book club meeting to discuss Homegoing by Yaa Gyaasi. Homegoing (2016) is the story of two half-sisters and their generational legacies from 18th century to modern day Ghana/US. It’s an epic novel tracing the blood ties between our countries. (300 pages, 4.5/5)
Ghana was the first Peace Corps country, with more than 5,000 volunteers having served there since August 30, 1961.
The book club meeting will be led by CAPCA board member Sara Whittleton (Botswana 1990-1993).
Homegoing can be purchased in advance at a 15% discount from The Book Loft Oak Park, an independently owned bookstore where the meeting will be held. Just mention the CAPCA Book Club when you call or stop in to buy your book. Copies of the book should be available at libraries.
If you are taking public transportation, the bookstore is located about a 2-1/2 blocks NE of the Harlem Ave Green Line stop. If you are driving, there should be ample metered parking near the store (use the Passport parking app).
