Registration Open for Chicago River Day!
In 2025, over 2,800 volunteers with Friends of the Chicago River, made our river healthier and safer by picking up litter, removing invasive plants, building trails and so much more at 92 sites throughout the watershed. After the event, volunteers came together to swap stories and celebrate their hard work.
On the Chicago River Day registration page, a Google map will have all the sites available for you to choose from. Register by clicking on the link for your desired site and completing the Eventbrite registration form. Every participant must register individually. Though the minimum age to volunteer is 8 years old, anyone under 18 requires a guardian to sign them up.
After you have registered, post it to the CAPCA facebook page so members know where they can volunteer with other CAPCA members.
