Calling all readers!
CAPCA is hosting its first book club meeting to discuss “The Women” by Kristin Hannah. The meeting will take place on Thursday, July 24, at 6:30 pm. “The Women” is a historical fiction novel that tells the story of a nurse who serves in the United States Army Nurse Corps during the Vietnam War. It debuted at number one on the New York Times fiction best-seller list.
The book club meeting will be led by CAPCA board member Leslie Piotrowski (Philippines 1983-85). She is a member of two book clubs and the debut author of a book coming out next year.
Copies of this book are in demand at libraries. This is a good time to place a copy on hold. The book can also be purchased on Amazon for $14.31.
