Share Your Time and Talent as an AMIGOS Board Member!
Amigos de las Américas (AMIGOS) is a non-profit organization that inspires leaders through authentic service and immersion experiences. AMIGOS currently offers cultural immersion and service programs for youth throughout the summer in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Panama, and Paraguay. Some AMIGOS volunteers choose to further their dedication to service and cultural exchange by becoming Peace Corps volunteers, and some of their current and former staff members are RPCVs. One of the ways they recruit, train, and support volunteers is through local chapters, which are independent subsidiaries of AMIGOS. Chicago has a long AMIGOS history: at its peak, Chicago had two thriving chapters (Chicago North and Chicago Urban).
AMIGOS’ Chicago Chapter is actively recruiting to fill Board of Director vacancies to ensure the continued success of the chapter. Given our shared commitment to service, and cultural understanding, CAPCA is sharing information about this opportunity with our members.
